Position Overview: The Akian College of Science and Engineering invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Data Science/AI or Computer Science. We seek a dedicated individual who will contribute to our vibrant academic community through teaching, mentoring, and innovative research. This position provides an opportunity to engage with students and collaborate with local and global scholars to advance knowledge in these critical fields.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching Overview: Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Develop and deliver engaging curriculum for undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Science and Computer Science, including but not limited to:
Computer Science - Introduction to Computer Science, Principles of Programming Languages, Programming Techniques, Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithms, Web Technology and Programming, Game Programming, Mobile Application Development, Computer Architecture, Computer Networks and Communication, Operating System Principles, Parallel and Distributed Systems, Digital Systems, Theory of Computation, and more.
Data Science - Databases, Data analytics, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Cheminformatics, Business Analytics, Bayesian Statistics, Cryptography, Causal Inference, Data Visualization, Generative AI, Training and tuning Large Language Models, Speech recognition, and more.
