AUA Extension welcomes applications from qualified candidates for teaching General English at AUA Extension in Goris. Potential applicants are asked to carefully review the below requirements of the position before deciding to put forth their application. AUA Extension courses are designed around instructors’ commitment to delivering open, interactive and student-centered instruction. The language of instruction is English.
Responsibilities
Teach the course following the approved syllabus;
Develop a detailed course plan to share with the students and hold regular class/office hours accordingly;
Give homework and provide feedback on assignments on a consistent basis;
Consult other teaching faculty to learn from their teaching and research for enhancing quality and content;
Ensure that all quizzes, tests, papers, and exams are graded and returned to students in a timely manner along with constructive feedback;
Find, assess, and implement new instructional strategies, as applicable;
Ensure that learning objectives are followed in designing classroom activities;
Plan, prepare and deliver lessons, as scheduled;
Consult materials from different sources to fulfill the students’ needs;
Assess, record and report on the development, progress, attendance and classroom behavior of students;
Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters providing information on appropriate sources of expertise;
Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching;
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
University degree in a relevant field.
Excellent command of the English Language.
At least 2 years of teaching experience.
