Description
AUA Zaven & Sonia Akian College of Science & Engineering (CSE) is seeking a collaborative and team-oriented grant, projects and program accreditation coordinator for its Engineering Research Center (ERC) and the College of Science & Engineering with strong interpersonal skills for interacting with researchers, faculty members, and students.
The Engineering Research Center is dedicated to: i) addressing key societal challenges through diverse fields of engineering research, ii) generating new knowledge that delivers solid benefits when applied, iii) disseminating findings in high-quality scientific journals and top-tier international conferences, iv) engaging with the public by sharing research outcomes through seminars, popular science publications, and media outreach, v) fostering a stimulating and welcoming work environment for researchers and staff. Requirements
- The grant, projects and program accreditation coordinator plays a key role in
- supporting research initiatives, faculty projects, and student-industry collaborations within a dynamic academic and research environment,
- facilitating research planning, supporting innovation, coordinating project reporting, conducting data analysis (e.g., tracking statistics on research applications submitted and granted, analyzing the relevant research calls),
- coordinating program accreditation efforts under the mentorship of the ERC center director, associate director, and the College Dean.
- assisting in report preparation, collecting and archiving relevant documents each semester.
- ensuring smooth daily operations, managing communication with research center managers and researchers, and assisting in preparing research proposals and budgets.
Qualifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Armenian
- Ability in using project management tools (e.g., MS Office Suite).
- Experience organizing events, workshops, or conferences in an academic or research environment.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with faculty, researchers, students, and external partners.
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to track research outputs, monitor applications and awarded grants, and ensure timely follow-up on multiple deadlines.
- Master's degree required, PhD is a plus.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of educational systems and Armenia’s tech landscape
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, research-driven environment.
Additional Informarion
Specific Selection Criteria
The following skills and experience will be considered an asset:
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with researchers and industry partners, manage administrative tasks, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working as a research/industry projects and grant coordinator in a research institution or center involved in national and international projects funded by Horizon Europe, Erasmus+, or similar funding agencies.
- Knowledge of grant writing and research funding mechanisms, including proposal preparation and compliance with funding agency requirements
- Knowledge of academic research processes and ethics, as well as institutional procedures for research support.
- Knowledge of program accreditation process.
