About Green Agenda Armenia Project
Green Agenda Armenia, a joint initiative of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) and the AUA Acopian Center for the Environment and funded by Sweden, advances Armenia’s green transition objectives, including climate neutrality, biodiversity conservation, sustainable transportation, pollution management, sustainable economic growth, digitalisation, and just transition.
Based on a comprehensive national assessment, the project offers planning for change, development of investment proposals, offering technical assistance to government agencies, and developing capacity building programs for national authorities.
About the Position
Under the supervision of the Green Agenda Armenia Project Coordinator and Policy Team Lead, the Policy Junior Researchers will support the project in implementing the analytical and coordination tasks. The Junior Researcher will focus on data collection, background research, stakeholder mapping, preparing presentations, helping in the design of the dialogue process, and drafting specific sections of reports.
Number of positions available: Up to ten (10) people will be hired, each assigned to one of the five green transition policy planning priority areas.
Contract Duration: November 2025 to June 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct desk research and gather relevant data and policy materials.
- Assist in preparing analytical summaries, comparative reviews, and case studies.
- Support the organization of stakeholder consultations and dialogue meetings.
- Participate in meetings and dialogue sessions, ensuring adequate documentation of discussions.
- Contribute to drafting and formatting documents (presentations, roadmaps, action plans, reports, etc).
- Contribute to the development of project outputs.
Deliverables
- Background research notes and data matrices.
- Draft inputs for analytical sections and annexes.
- Summaries and minutes of consultations.
- Clean, formatted versions of final deliverables.
In addition to the above, the Policy Junior Researcher is expected to:
- Participate in regular meetings on the project’s updates and processes
- Summarize the main discussion points and outcomes of meetings and other relevant events
- Take part in and help coordinate the foreseen activities of the project, to ensure timely and qualitative delivery of the expected outcomes and deliverables
The ideal candidate would have these qualifications and experiences:
- Bachelor students or recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in related areas
- Demonstrated interest in green transition topics
- Strong organizational and writing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work as part of a team, while also being proactive with own tasks
- Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders within academic and non-academic institutions
- Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, quality, and consistency in content and presentation
