Description
AUA is hiring a Administrative Assistant in the Registrar's Office.
Responsibilities
- Ensure front desk coverage and provide excellent customer service at all times,
- Answer students’ questions and refer them to the appropriate authority, if needed,
- File documents related to students, graduates, former students,
- Answer phone calls,
- Responsible for internal office supplies,
- Receive student/graduate requests and process them or direct them to the relevant employee,
- Assist in RO processes as directed and needed: contract signing, advising, registration, graduation organizing, etc,
- Assist Registrar in placing holds on students account, processing probations and dismissals.
- Assist in processing students’ IDs,
- Assist in delivery and collection of documents to and from students, graduates, former students and other AUA stakeholders,
- Input and update of data in the Jenzabar system as needed,
- Process memos to various offices within AUA, in 1C or otherwise,
- Process purchase orders,
- Process student refund memos,
- Be responsible for monthly reporting of office supply usage to Accounting,
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Registrar.
Requirements
- University Degree,
- Fluency in English and Armenian,
- Word-processing, spread sheets, databases,
- Demonstrated ability to reason logically, draw valid conclusions and make appropriate professional judgments,
- Working knowledge of FERPA; positive and professional demeanor in a sometimes hectic work environment,
- Ability to multitask while working independently with little supervision,
- Ability to provide clear and concise communications both orally and in writing,
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and explain complex policies and procedures,
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, staff, students, community members and co-workers,
- Demonstrated commitment to student/customer-centered services,
- 1-2 years of work experience.
