Job Description

The Lead Developer will design and implement the digital infrastructure for a humanities research project, including database development, AI-assisted transcription workflows, and analytical tools.The position involves close collaboration with the Project Principal Investigator, Dr. Naira Sahakyan, and supervision of the Student Research Assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Design and implement a database
• Develop a custom frontend interface
• Integrate AI tools for transcription and data extraction
• Develop GIS mapping and network analysis tools
• Supervise technical workflows and coordinate with research assistant

Expected Deliverables

• Functional database and research interface
• AI transcription and data extraction pipeline
• Interactive GIS and network analysis tools
• Technical documentation

Qualifications

• Experience with database design, JavaScript, and API integration
• Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., Leaflet.js)
• Experience working with archival materials
• Ability to manage technical workflows independently
