The Office of Alumni Relations is hiring an Alumni Engagement Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Provide general support to members of the Office of Alumni Relations, including making phone calls, organizing meetings, managing email correspondences, assist in creating reports and presentations, translate materials as needed, and carry out other day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Manage the AUA Alumni database and ensure data hygiene and integrity, conduct ongoing updates of alumni worldwide and provide data reports as requested. In coordination with the Office of Development, process alumni donations, acknowledgments, record keeping, and reconciliation.
- Perform alumni prospect research to support the fundraising efforts of the alumni community.
- Build and manage an active portfolio of 100 alumni in collaboration with the Director of Alumni Relations, with a focus on frontline fundraising to secure philanthropic support for the University.
- Support the Marketing and Communications Manager in developing content, audiences, and timelines for print and digital communications for the Office of Alumni Relations, such as articles, newsletters, booklets, reports, social media posts, and other materials.
- Assist in planning and organizing alumni events and activities (reunions, clubs, talks etc.), that support the University’s strategic plan for increased alumni engagement, including pre- and post-event correspondence, event planning logistics, post-event and activity reporting.
- Liaise with university departments to collect and consolidate data, statistics and information needed to support alumni relations work.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, marketing, public administration, nonprofit management, English, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in office administration, customer service, communications, fundraising, event coordination, alumni relations, nonprofit work, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Armenian.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, especially in managing data, records, and timelines.
- Comfortable communicating professionally with alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders; strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse alumni communities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, PowerPoint/Slides); experience working with databases, CRMs, spreadsheets, or data management systems is an asset.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive donor and alumni information responsibly.
- Experience with social media, digital communications, Canva, Mailchimp, or similar tools is considered a plus.
- Experience coordinating events, meetings, or community activities is considered a plus.
- Strong research and analytical skills, particularly for prospect research and donor identification, are considered an asset.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to learn new systems and fundraising practices.
- Availability to occasionally support evening or weekend alumni events as needed.
