Project Background

The Organics Mobilized: Accelerating Social Transformation Towards Circular Bioeconomy project supports Armenia's transition toward sustainable organic waste and biomass management through integrated circular economy approaches. The project is implemented by the American University of Armenia (AUA) in partnership with UNDP Armenia, funded by the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) Food and Nutrition Challenge, a United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Initiative.

The project aims to reduce methane and other climate pollutant emissions from the organic waste sector by strengthening national and municipal capacities, improving source separation and valorization of organic waste, piloting decentralized circular bioeconomy solutions, promoting sustainable cold-chain technologies, and facilitating behavioral and institutional transformation through Living Labs and Learning Communities.

Objective

To lead the development and implementation of project communications and visibility activities, effectively communicate the project's objectives, progress, results, and impact to relevant stakeholders, and support the dissemination of knowledge and lessons learned through the project.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

Support from AUA

The Communication Expert will work under the supervision of the Project Manager and in close collaboration with the project implementation team, AUA communications team, UNDP Armenia, CCAC, UNEP, UNOPS, consultants, municipalities, implementing partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
