Job Description
The Lead Developer will design and implement the digital infrastructure for a humanities research project, including database development, AI-assisted transcription workflows, and analytical tools.The position involves close collaboration with the Project Principal Investigator, Dr. Naira Sahakyan, and supervision of the Student Research Assistant.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement a database
- Develop a custom frontend interface
- Integrate AI tools for transcription and data extraction
- Develop GIS mapping and network analysis tools
- Supervise technical workflows and coordinate with research assistant
Expected Deliverables
- Functional database and research interface
- AI transcription and data extraction pipeline
- Interactive GIS and network analysis tools
- Technical documentation
Qualifications
- Experience with database design, JavaScript, and API integration
- Familiarity with GIS tools (e.g., Leaflet.js)
- Experience working with archival materials
- Ability to manage technical workflows independently
