Key Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and evaluation of machine learning and natural language processing models under guidance from senior team members
- Collect, clean, and prepare structured and unstructured data for modeling; perform basic data quality checks and document issues
- Implement baseline models and iterate on improvements through feature engineering, model tuning, and systematic experimentation
- Build and maintain evaluation workflows and dashboards/notebooks to track model performance over time
- Collaborate with engineers and product/domain stakeholders to clarify requirements, assumptions, and success criteria
- Produce clear documentation and short technical reports summarizing methods, results, and next steps
- Excellent command of written and oral English.

- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in applied ML/NLP (research, internships, or industry) with demonstrable project work
- Strong Python skills for data analysis and modeling (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn)
- Solid understanding of ML fundamentals (supervised learning, validation strategies, overfitting/regularization, metrics)
- Experience working with unstructured text data and NLP pipelines (cleaning, preprocessing, feature creation, embeddings)
- Familiarity with semantic representations and similarity search (e.g., sentence embeddings, vector search / ANN concepts)
- Ability to implement and evaluate retrieval/search performance
- Strong experiment hygiene: reproducible workflows, consistent train/validation splits, result tracking, and version control (Git)
- Clear written communication and documentation skills for reporting results, metrics, and model changes to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Prior experience with academic writing and research reporting is considered an advantage.
Eligibility
- Both junior- and mid-level applicants are welcome to apply.
- Students and alumni from any university with a relevant degree program are encouraged to apply.
