Description
AUA Extension welcomes applications from qualified candidates for teaching General English in Kapan. The success of AUA Extension courses relies primarily on the instructors’ commitment to student success through interactive and student-centered instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach the course following the approved syllabus and learning objectives;
- Develop a detailed course plan to share with the students at start of class and hold regular class/office hours accordingly;
- Assign homework and provide feedback on student performance on a consistent basis;
- Ensure that all quizzes, tests, assignments, and exams are graded and returned to students in a timely manner, duly marked with constructive feedback;
- Find, study, and recommend new teaching strategies that may help improve learning. These may include materials from different sources that could be useful in fulfilling the learning objectives;
- Assess, record and report on the development, progress, attendance and classroom performance of students;
- Provide guidance and advice to students on educational matters, also providing assistance to ensure the quality of external sources;
- Ensure high standards of professional practice and quality of teaching;
- Perform related duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent command of the English Language.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience.
