Job Description

The Student Research Assistant will support a digital humanities project focused on archival materials. The position involves preparing and structuring historical data for digital analysis. The Research Assistant will work closely with the Project Principal Investigator, Dr. Naira Sahakyan.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize digitized archival materials
• Create and standardize metadata
• Tag and code textual data
• Assist with transcription validation and data entry
• Support database population and data consistency

Expected Deliverables

• Structured and annotated dataset
• Completed metadata and tagging schema
• Clean dataset ready for analysis

Qualifications

• Current AUA student
• Proficiency in Armenian (knowledge of Russian is an asset)
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Interest in history and/or digital humanities
