Description
The American University of Armenia is seeking a motivated and organized Project and Administrative Assistant to support the implementation of a multi-year project focused on vocational education and training (VET) impact evaluation.
The position is part-time and flexible-time. Work from office with expected workload of 10–15 hours per week.
Main Responsibilities
- Maintain communication with project stakeholders, partners, and beneficiaries.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take meeting notes, and follow up on action items.
- Liaise with internal AUA units, including the Center for Business Research and Development (CBRD), Accounting Department, Human Resources Department, and other relevant offices.
- Support project administration, documentation, and operational processes.
- Prepare operational and progress reports.
- Assist with project logistics, scheduling, and coordination of field activities.
- Organize and maintain project records and documentation.
In addition to administrative responsibilities, the selected candidate will have an opportunity to become actively involved in the substantive aspects of the project, including:
- Understanding the conceptual framework of impact evaluation studies.
- Assisting with data collection planning and coordination.
- Supporting data management and reporting activities.
- Participating in discussions related to research design, monitoring, and evaluation.
Qualifications
Required
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Usage of AI and clear understanding of its limits.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- High level of responsibility and attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience as a research assistant or involvement in research projects.
- Interest in social science research, data analysis, or impact evaluation.
- Familiarity with survey-based research and data collection processes.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment with fluctuating workloads.
No prior full-time work experience is required. Recent graduates and senior undergraduate students with strong organizational skills and an interest in research are encouraged to apply.
