Description

The American University of Armenia (AUA) Extension is the non-degree arm of the University that plays a key role in the education, growth, and advancement of regional communities by providing essential learning and practice opportunities, particularly with training in English language and topical areas most essential to each community. Our overarching goal is to ensure that rural communities have access to the knowledge and skills for the betterment of local residents. AUA Extension is appropriately resourced in various areas of adult learning, including languages, tourism and hospitality, small and medium-sized enterprise (MSME) support, as well as leadership and management, women’s entrepreneurship, information technologies, and other topics that may be most effective to meet the needs of local populations.

Congruent with the above description of the position, the Kapan Regional Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all AUA Extension activities in the Syunik region, working closely with the regional team under the leadership of the Extension Director.

Description

The Nurse is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the AUA Clinic located on campus. Key responsibilities include the consistent application of the nursing process and effective communication in patient care and health promotion. The Nurse provides health counseling, health education, and emergency care services to AUA faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Clinic management duties include maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, organizing clinical appointments, assisting the physician during consultations, securely managing patient records, and providing referrals as needed.
